Real Estate Investing And The Human Animal

By Doc Schmyz

How come anytime you walk in to a book store and find your way to the business or financial books all the views that are expressed in the titles are very similar??? In one way or another they all call out for a monetary version of bloodshed. I mean think about the titles: "How you can crush the other guy"or "it's not personal its business", "How to come out on top" etc etc. When I got into the real estate investment game I spent hours trying to find the one book that would teach me how to become that REAL ESTATE INVESTING GOD I knew I could become. After reading most of the popular books at the time I actually would feel beat up over the content. I mean did I have to be a "take no prisoners" type of investor? Did I have to prey on some one else's misfortune?? The answer was no. So I set out to build a list of my own investment rules. I think we each should have our own set of investment rules. Doc's Rules for investing:

1) Your personal guidelines: Define and follow some personal guidelines. This is the most important rule I have. These guidelines define the investments I will go after as well as the amount of investment I'm willing to part with to get it. It outlines my investment tactic as well as how I want to conduct my the business of this investment Things to include are: Top dollar amount and lowest dollar amount. Type of investment you want to deal with. Period of term for investment.. Etc etc. (Between you and me I even have a guideline about the amount of time I will work per-day)

2) Remember some ones family is behind the deal you?re working on. Simply put, whoever you are dealing with has mouths to feed. Don't forget this. Just because you can get a great deal on a house because the current owner is in a facing some sort of adversity that is causing them to sell below market value, doesn't give you license to kick them when they are down. Treat everyone with dignity and respect. If the price they are offering still falls within the personal investing guidelines you have set for yourself don't use your position to abuse the seller. If you are getting the house for .40 cents on the dollar, don't be a jerk and push for .38 cents. Always remember...it could be you in the sellers postion. (This rule DOES NOT come in to play when dealing with a bank owned property)

3) Always ask for what you want. Where does it say you can't ask for something in an investment deal you like? I.E. if you're looking at a piece of real estate, ask the seller if they would be willing to throw in new carpet to the sale. I knew a investor who was looking at a house that had been on the market for more than 6 months, when he went to talk to the seller he happen to see a 1954 Merc Coupe in the garage,so he asked if it was included in the deal. The deal eventually closed for the house AND the car. 4) Offer everyone the chance to make money as a bird dog for you. I always give several of my business cards to anyone I do business with and offer them a portion of any profit I make from any investments they help me locate. You would be amazed at how many people are willing to help you make money when they get a small part of it for doing very little work. (And if you follow rule #2 you will be amazed at how many of those bird dogs will sing your praises from the highest mountains)

Just some ideas of things to keep in mind when you're working on your investment mindset. I have used these rules over the years, and in many cases they, have gotten me more return and repeat networking opportunities then I can count. - 23218

Big Gains And High Risk Stakes On The Forex

By Vincent Rogers

If you're looking for a new way to invest and trade but are tired of how unreliable the NASDAQ and AMEX have become with the recent economic climate, you may want to give the Forex a chance. The Forex is the foreign exchange market. It's unlike any other investment market in the world. On the Forex, currency trades hands rapidly.

Every trade on the Forex market consists of two parts, the buying and selling of specific country's currencies. When one is bought, another is sold. The two currencies that are involved in each trade are referred to as the cross. While every country has currency that is able to be exchanged on the Forex market, the biggest crosses that are traded daily are the U. S. Dollar and U. K. Euro, the Japanese Yen and the U. S. Dollar and the Great Britain Pound and the U. S. Dollar. These and other currencies are traded at a rate of over three trillion dollars each and every day.

There is no one city in which the Forex is based; however, the major trading centers involved in the Forex market are London, Tokyo and New York. The Forex is the only market in the world that involves exchanges between banks, lending institutions, national governments and speculators. Because of the ability for so many different institutions to trade, the Forex is heavily regulated, world wide.

Any time there is political unrest in a country, you can see the currency rapidly lose its value. Whenever there is a Presidential election, the value of the U. S. Dollar fluctuates greatly, as well. It's hard to know when currency is going to gain or decline in value. A large deal of investing on the Forex is through speculation.

While analysts sit and crunch the numbers, a new way to trade the Forex has made its way into the mainstream. Using algorithms, Forex software experts make their best educated moves, buying and selling currency in the hopes of gaining big. Forex signals usually come from these Forex bots or software robots.

Whenever there is a political issue within a country, the value of that currency will also greatly change. Whenever a country is at war or in the middle of a political uprising, expect to see a drastic change in the currency. For instance, whenever there is an election being held for a major political office in small countries, there may be a temporary cessation of that currency being traded. When the U. S. Holds Presidential elections, the U. S. Dollar fluctuates greatly in value, as well.

There are several major currency pairings that are most typically traded. These include the Euro and the US Dollar, the US Dollar and the Japanese Yen and the Great Britain Pound and the US Dollar. These trades that occur on the spot are usually settled within two business days of the trade. This helps make the Forex market one of the most liquid markets in the world.

While it's hard to know for certain what is going to happen with the market, Forex signals send warnings to Forex bots and investors hope to minimize loss. The Forex is the most liquid of all trading markets in the world. Each day over three trillion dollars worth of currency is bought and sold on the Forex market.

The Forex is the fastest moving and liquid market in the world. The differences in trading foreign currencies and stocks are enormous and the Forex has no base for most of its fluctuations. If you've got money to spend, there's plenty to be made on the Forex. Whenever you make any financial decision, the pros and cons should be greatly weighed with caution. - 23218

An Easy Way To Pick The Best Stocks To Invest In

By Grant Dougan

One of the types of shares I like most are penny stocks. There's some investors that never look at these sorts of investments since they assume they are full of risk. Don't let yourself be frightened of these stocks though - you will earn unbelievable money when you know what to search for.

Any stock under $2.00 is what I see as a penny stock. When I choose a stock to purchase, I search for a business that is up and coming. You will see many companies that are now trading under two bucks because the company has had difficulties. I try to look for organizations that are new and growing instead of established ones that are simply cheap due to issues the company has had. By focusing on these organizations I can make great money in the future when they start earning profits..

So how can you pick the stocks to invest in? Obviously, this is the key question!

Your first step is to do is to scope out the industry that the business is involved in. Is the industry growing?. Think about whether a new entrant into the industry can actually succeed considering the competition in the industry. You must look over the industry as a whole to make sure that the company is producing a product that there is enough demand for.

Second, what about the business? How do you feel about the management? You should also consider what the company offers its customers and see if their product differs from what others in the industry are offering. You should try to find businesses that either offer a unique product or differentiate themselves on some different aspect such as price. If the organization provides a product or service that isn't identical to what all the other competitors provide then the company is extremely more likely to generate additional sales.

Now it's time have a look at the financial situation of the company, although don't automatically get scared if you notice that they have no earnings. Many growing organizations don't make money in the first few years. Still I want to make sure that the company has funds available to them or laons so that the business can continue to develop.

Do remember that it's always a smart thing to have the ability to find updates on the company. I love being able to visit a internet site where the organization issues updates because this lets me have a means to keep up to date on business updates.

These stocks can provide you with tremendous gains if the business starts to enjoy some success. There's incredible money to be made once you understand what to look for. - 23218

Learn Technical Analysis Terminology

By Ahmad Hassam

Lets first define what Technical Analysis is. Technical Analysis is the study of historical and ongoing price data through charts, price patterns and chart indicators. Charts display price in time intervals using bars and candlesticks.

Technical Analysis is based on the following assumptions. 1) All available information is already impounded in the market prices of the securities. 2) Prices always move in trends or patterns. 3) History repeats itself meaning you can predict the future market by studying the past market prices.

Studies have shown that once a trend is in motion, it is most likely to continue rather than reverse it. The more one studies chart patterns in technical analysis, the clearer it becomes that reading and interpreting chart patterns and technical analysis are more an art form than a skill.

Charts come in two types. Bar charts and Candlesticks charts. Bar charts display price data in vertical lines. These vertical lines represents price action during a given time period. The tip at the top is the high for the period. The tip at the bottom is the low for the period. The open and close are represented by small horizontal dashes called tics. The tic to the left of the line is the open. The tic to the right of the line is the close.

Candlestick charts are similar to bar charts. Like the bar charts, the top of the vertical line represent the high and the bottom of the vertical line represents the low. However, the price action between the open and the close is represented differently by the use of candlestick bodies. A shaded body represents a lower closing below a higher opening. A hollow body represents a higher closing above a lower opening.

The price action above and below the body is referred to as tails or wicks. A forex day trader may use any one of the 3, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 and 180 minutes charts. A swing and position trader may use a daily, weekly or a monthly chart while doing technical analysis. These charts all use the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) or the Eastern Standard Time (EST) depending on the software that your broker platform uses. But you can always adjust these times according to your local time.

While doing technical analysis, you need to understand what are markets patterns? What are Uptrends? What are downtrends and what are sideway trends? Markets expand and retrace constantly. Market prices may continue to expand for sometimes either upward or downward. It is the nature of the markets to surge then pause and retrace.

Trends in markets make a series of peaks and troughs as they move. An uptrend consists of a series of ascending peaks and troughs, each peak higher than the last peak and each trough lower than the last trough. A downtrend consists of a series of descending peaks and troughs. A sidways trend consists of a series of horizontal peaks and troughs meaning all peaks and all troughs are almost on the same level. - 23218

New Stock Blog Helps Trader

By Sam Nielson

I have been investing for over 24 years and trading for almost 14, and I have learned that if you really want to make GIGANTIC and SPEEDY money, it is better to short term trade instead of long term investing, trading can make you turn your trading into a full time business.

Now if you are reading this, you are probably investing and have already achieved some degree of success, long term investing can do this and so can FOREX.

I have been the head trader at several brokerage firms, a Market Maker, and currently I'm a private hedge fund manager and here are some tips of advice:

Strive to make short term profits on a regular basis. You want cash flow coming from the market you are trading. When you find something that works, keep doing it until it stops working. Do not try and hit and home run on every trade. Just try and get on first base. Do not get emotionally attached to a stock, you are not looking to marry a stock, you are looking to make money from it. Remember, small amounts of money on a regular basis is what you are aiming for.

Stocks are really worthless concepts of virtual junk.

Do not live in a fantasy world that the stock you are holding will keep going up and provide a sweet retirement for you.

You should trade so that it doesn't matter which way the market goes. It should not matter to you if the market goes higher, drops, or goes sideways for the next 2 years. You shouldn't really care. Stocks are nothing more than three letters with a space and a price written next them.

You should sit back in cash and only trade when you have a clear advantage. If you don't have an identifiable advantage then your odds of making money on the trade are no better than playing the lottery. This is the biggest reason why new traders and buy and hold investors lose money in the market.

Take a look at any daily chart of any index or stock and you will probably see the most volatility and the biggest opportunity for profit during the first hour of the stock market's opening.

Most people sit on their hands during the first hour of trading and do nothing.

You need to be in during the first hour of trading so that you can take advantage of rookie stock traders who are buying on emotion because they saw something on TV last night. - 23218
