Invest now in Real estate...if you want to get returns in the long run.

By Doc Schmyz

Have you heard these "bits of advice"????This is not a good time to look at property investment? Now is not a good time to invest in the stock market? Now is not a good time to buy oil futures? We have heard this from every "GURU" on the nightly news. The fact that this is a common belief does not make it true. Now is the time to go against the flow of popular opinion and buy an investment. The risk must, however, be a reasoned one and never spend the rent money on risky things.

If you are willing to move against the flow you must seek out deals and only buy bargains. Property investment is great because you can feel the permanence of your investment and over time real estate has proved itself to be a solid money maker. Contrary to all the latter day negative gearing you need to make sure of a positive cash flow. Rents must give a return on investment. Simply put.... you do not buy at silly prices you buy only when the figures give you a return.

Current feelings of uncertainty in the real estate market makes buying bargains not very difficult. The foreclosure process is not nice for anyone to deal with and being a buyer at a foreclosure or mortgagee sale can make you feel very uncomfortable. These properties do have to be sold though and foreclosures will work to an investor's advantage. Its just bargain shopping on a bigger scale.

You don't have to work with just foreclosures. Many people got into the property investment business over the last few years with the promise of easy profits and now feel worried and insecure with mortgages over their family homes or repayment bills that will not lessen in the near future. They just want to quit the game no matter what and will take a loss to set themselves out. Just do not make the same mistake they made. Do the math!! Get a return on your investment. Lastly have the right mind set which is to buy for the long term. Property investment is a long term game and very lucrative over a long period. Just make certain that you are happy and secure with a long term investment and you will really cash in when the next real estate price surge hits. - 23218

Basics of Stocks Part2: What does Investing on Stocks mean?

By Mara Hernandez-Capili

Stocks are another form of investment that can make your money work for you or in other words, your money can grow in itself without you practically doing anything. In this way, you can focus on building your other assets and earning other forms of income. This article is written to provide you with the basics of investing on stocks.

What does investing on stocks mean and how is it different from investing your money in the bank? Investing on stocks is when you buy a share or a stock from a publicly listed company. This action will make you part-owner of that company and enjoy exclusive privileges such as voting rights. Your money or capital will have the freedom to increase when the company enjoys higher profits at a given time. However, you may also lose a certain percentage or your money may have the possibility of not earning anything if the company suffers losses.

It differs from investing your cash at the bank because of several things, first is because: banks have taxes payment and little annual percentage returns and is affected by the market inflation. Because of these factors, you may be left with little or no growth value for your capital. Investing in banks guarantee you with maximum security for your money, but you are subjected to minimal returns because of this. There is little to no risk of losing your money that is invested in a bank.

Investing in stocks left some people think twice about it since you allow your investment to operate on involved risks. If youre a just starting and would like to try your hand at stocks, it is advisable for you to start investing with an amount you are most comfortable in losing (if ever it happens). It is advisable to play it safe first especially if youre a beginner and practice on investing with a capital where you are most comfortable with.

When you have plans on investing in stocks it is advisable for young people to start now when they will have a lot of time to recover than start later (a few years before retirement), although there is another argument in here which I will discuss later. - 23218

How To Master Candlestick Patterns

By Mark Deaton

Japanese Candlesticks have been around for centuries. In use since the early 1700's Japanese candlesticks were first used to trade the rice markets. Over the last 400 years of course they have become popular to many including stock and forex traders.

Japanese candlestick charts display market sentiment like other charts but most would agree you get a little more insight from a candlestick chart. Basically you measure 2 parts of a candlestick, the body, and the wicks. The body can be either full or hallow, and the wick or shadows, can be long or short, or not present at all. All tell a story.

Your highs and lows for the session are marked by the tops (high) and bottoms (low) of the wicks. Likewise a close that is greater than an open is represented by a hallow candlestick the bottom is the open, and the top is the close. A close that is less than the open is represented by a full or black candlestick. The top is the open and the bottom is the close. (See below.)

Candlestick charts are considered more eye appealing and easier to understand than the ordinary bar or line chart. They are more intuitive and easier to identify immediately, and they also show price action relative to the past. (Best left for another article.)

There are different sizes of bodies as well. A long hollow body indicates there was a large advance in pricing between the open and close. A long filled body indicates the closing price was much lower than the opening. In return and in keeping with the same analogy, a short hollow body would indicate a small rise in pricing between open and close and a short filled body would indicate a small drop in pricing between open and close.

Another characteristic would be a hollow or filled body with no shadows. These are called Marubozu or black & white. A white Marubozu would occur when the open equals the low and the close equals the high. A black Marubozu would occur when the open equals the high and the close equals the low.

A long or short shadow with a short body are called spinning tops. Spinning tops represent indecision. The short body indicates that there was little change in the trading and the long shadows indicate there was a lot of activity with both bulls and bears. However it also indicates that neither buyer nor seller could get the upper hand, resulting in somewhat of a standoff. - 23218

Trekking the Rough Trading Waters

By Rick Amorey

The field of stock trading may seem pretty big, especially with today's times. Now, investors can place their orders on the Internet, and their orders will then be put through to a broker for checking before approval. From your home, you can monitor the stock market through your computer, making the process of money making a much simpler task than ever before for those who are interested.

If you're someone who is seriously considering going into stocks, then you may think that this is the perfect business. There are no products, no employees, and no customers. It's just a matter of using your money to make more money, knowing when to purchase stock, and when to sell the stock. But while this is all plausible in the stock market, it's not something that can happen overnight. Ninety percent of investors will end up losing money, in fact.

Even with this deterrent, however, many people are interested in entering the trading business. If you are one of these people, all is not lost. You just have to know that it's not something that you'll be successful with overnight. Instead, be focused and disciplined if you plan to get into this business. Sure, you can get to trading immediately, but if you make uninformed decisions in this field, you will most likely suffer devastating losses.

It doesn't help that the state of our economy is like so, either. There's no time more difficult than now to get into trading stocks. But the opportunities are still there to be had, even in these times of financial trouble. You just need discipline to study the trends, make the right decisions, and if you can do so, you'll be fine.

The stock market is a bit irregular these days, but it doesn't mean that it's impossible to push through. As a matter of fact, when everything starts to pick up, people with a solid investment portfolio will find themselves at the best position to make money. - 23218

Trade Forex Options

By Hass67

Have you heard about George Soros; The legendary manager of Quantum Hedge Fund who had made a cool $1 Billion profit from a single bet. In the early 1990s, one day he was sitting in his office discussing currency markets with his associate. Both of them were of the opinion that the British pound was overpriced and Bank of England could not sustain its price for long.

He purchased $10 Billion of puts and calls forex options by gambling all the assets under his control as collateral on a single bet that in the end made history.

George Soros had perfect knowledge of the currency markets. He was sure of his bet and had the conviction that the Bank of England could not prop the overpriced British pound for long. His conviction was shared by other currency speculators. The only difference between him and them was the huge amount of the bet he placed. Bank of England was forced in just of 24 hours to take the British pound out of the European Monetary System and let it float freely. His gamble had paid off.

The price of British pound plummeted. George Soros gamble had worked. The next day, his picture was in almost all the major newspaper with the caption: The Man who broke the Bank of England.

Forex markets are huge. There are many ways to profit from the volatility in the forex markets. A number of trading vehicles are available for you to try in the forex markets.

You as a retail forex trader can trade any one of these contracts: spot, futures and options. Two more contracts are traded in the currency markets primarily for hedging by large institutions like banks, corporations and hedge funds. These are forwards and swap contracts.

Lets discuss trading forex options. Options are derivative products that give you the right to buy or cell or certain underlying asset at a predetermined price known as a strike price before or on a certain date known as the exercise date.

Currency is the underlying asset in forex options. You can purchase a forex options on payment of a certain premium. This is the price that you pay for getting the right but not the obligation to buy/sell a certain currency.

You may or may not exercise your right to buy/sell the currency. If the market price of the currency is above/below your strike price, you can buy/sell that currency by exercising your option.

In case, the market price is not above/below the strike price of your forex options contract, you can simply let the options contract expire. You only lose the premium that you had paid for purchasing the options.

If you want to try forex options then there is a very good forex options strategy that lets you profit regardless of the direction in which the currency market is moving.

This is a risk free method but it only guarantees 30-50% ROI. If you are satisfied with this much sure shot return you can try this method. - 23218
